Felix Klein - Ausgewählte Kapitel der Zahlentheorie I - 1896

Rare original edition of a lecture by the eminent mathematician Felix Klein, delivered in the winter semester 1895/96 and prepared by the later famed physicist Arnold Sommerfeld. The work comprises 354 numbered pages with mathematical formulas and detailed explanations. The text is preserved in a contemporarily duplicated manuscript. It is not an autograph manuscript, but a so-called autograph lecture script. Decorative half-leather binding with marbled boards and gold-embossed spine title. The exact condition is evident from the photos. A rare science-historical collectible item on the history of mathematics and number theory as well as on the early collaboration between Felix Klein and Arnold Sommerfeld.
