Extra Quality Tanzanite Gemstone Necklace - Precious...

Tanzania - Merelani Region — This magnificent necklace features a harmonious sequence of Tanzanite beads, each shaped into a smooth oval form and polished to enhance their natural brilliance. The stones display an enchanting range of colors, from delicate lilac to deep blue-violet, with the characteristic pleochroism of Tanzanite revealing different hues depending on the viewing angle. Tanzanite is a relatively recent gem on the world stage, discovered in Tanzania in 1967. Its fame quickly grew due to its exceptional beauty and rarity, being commercially mined only in a very restricted area at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, in the Merelani region. Its unique coloration, ranging from sapphire blue to amethyst purple with burgundy accents, is due to the presence of vanadium and to heat treatment, which enhances the most desirable tones. Each bead of this necklace has been carefully selected for its color quality and transparency, creating a piece of jewelry that expresses elegance and refinement. The polished finish of the stones catches the light, highlighting their depth and color variations, making each piece unique and captivating. This necklace is not only a high-jewelry accessory but also a collectible that celebrates the rarity and natural beauty of Tanzanite. It is an ideal piece for those who appreciate precious gems with a distinctive geological history and timeless allure, perfect for enriching a mineral collection or for wearing on special occasions. The small irregularities or inclusions present can be considered part of the stone’s natural formation and attest to its authenticity.
