Exclusive collector's volute: Voluta ebraea (125 mm

Scientific name: Voluta ebraea (Linnaeus, 1758) – in the German-speaking world known as the Hebrew volute snail, famous for its complex, antike-script-like line pattern. Origin & Localities: Northeast Brazil; this extraordinary showpiece comes from the waters around Natal (state of Rio Grande do Norte). This northern region is known among malacologists for shells with particularly distinctive, widely flaring shoulder spines. Habitat: A predatory deep-water dweller, living on sandy and coral sediments at depths of 20 to 50 meters. Recovery is selective by local fishing boats using special bottom nets. Size & Condition: 125 mm – an absolute giant specimen ("Big Size")! While the average size of this species is usually 80 to 110 mm, this piece clearly breaches the magical 120 mm mark and thus belongs to the rare large pieces for discerning collectors. Condition GEM (Absolute Museum Quality): At this impressive size an extreme rarity. The delicate apex (apex tip), the widely projecting crown of spines on the shoulder, and the long outer lip are completely intact and free from the otherwise typical net scratches or growth cracks.
