Todas las subastas / Varios / European School (XIX-XX)
An elegant and charming turn-of-the-century oil painting depicting a classical golfing scene, a highly sought-after motif deeply rooted in British sporting tradition. The artwork features a gentleman golfer dressed in traditional historic attire, including a vibrant red jacket, knickerbockers, and a flat cap, captured mid-swing on a rolling green fairway beneath a lightly clouded sky. The painting showcases fine brushwork and a wonderfully nostalgic palette characteristic of late 19th to early 20th-century European genre and sporting art. The work is signed in the lower center with the name "D. Bertrand", representing the fine craftsmanship of decorative academic studios and painters of the era who specialized in creating sophisticated gallery pieces for discerning clients and high-end framing manufacturers. Deep swept gilt prunkframe. The ornate frame is heavily decorated with classic bead-and-reel (Perlstab) borders and rich patterns. Measurements: Width: 38cm Height: 43cm Depth: 6cm This piece has been carefully cleaned and is in good antique condition. Please note that the delivery time for the furniture is 2-5 weeks. The shipping costs are specified as flat rates, and we still need to inquire about the shipping costs for each city or location. We will inform you after the purchase whether we will refund your shipping costs or if your location requires additional shipping costs. The frame visible in the photo is provided as a service and is not an integral part of the artwork. Any damage to the frame does not constitute a valid reason for complaints or order cancellations.
