The lot brings together material from numerous countries around the world, with a significant presence of United States coins, flanked by Russian, Portuguese, Ukrainian, San Marino and Vatican commemorative coins, as well as numerous European and global issues. An extraordinary variety of types, metals, historical eras and different monetary systems. Among the highlights is a selection of ancient silver coins, a rare 5 Francs of 1873 from Leopold II of Belgium, a 2 Lire Quadriga of Vittorio Emanuele III from 1915, followed by Italian silver coins, a 5 Reichsmark, a US Dime and a 6 Pence Australian from 1951. Completing the precious metals section is a small issue in German gold, safeguarded and presented individually with a certificate. Particularly valuable and interesting is the presence of an album with 96 coins in high preservation (from AU58 to MS65) of the Kingdom of Italy under Vittorio Emanuele III. The paper section is also particularly rich. There are numerous historic banknotes of notable numismatic value, including some German notes, a rare note from the Kingdom of Italy and iconic notes from the subsequent Republic such as the 10000 "Del Castagno" together with historic banknotes from different countries and eras. Many notes are in FDS and in consecutive numbering like the American dollars. The collection also includes numerous coins in extremely fine condition stored individually in capsules, bimetallic coins including a tray of 40 high-preservation bimetallic coins of the Republic of San Marino and the Italian Republic (all the years), commemorative issues and special series.
