Title: Cherry Still Life ㅤ School: European Impressionist (20th century) ㅤ Style: Figurative Impressionism ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Good overall state of preservation, with possible signs of age and wear inherent to the passage of time. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is situated within the European tradition of still life rooted in Impressionist and Post-Impressionist currents of the 20th century. The visible brushwork, the direct handling of color, and the search for luminous effects on the surfaces reveal a modern interpretation of the still life. The composition maintains, at the same time, links with the Mediterranean tradition of the still life, especially through the presence of ceramics, fruits, and everyday objects arranged on a table. ㅤ The composition features an abundant still life dominated by an overturned wicker basket from which a large quantity of ripe cherries spills out. The intense reddish and orange tones of the fruit contrast with the blue-green of a large two-handled vessel located to the left, creating one of the main chromatic focal points of the scene. ㅤ In the foreground there is a white plate with several cherries, while in the background a piece of ceramics decorated with vegetal motifs in blue tones can be discerned. The apparently spontaneous arrangement of the fruits on the table adds dynamism and naturalness to the composition. The brushwork is loose and expressive, especially noticeable in the treatment of the wicker, the leaves, and the reflections of the cherries, while the volumes are built through contrasts of light and color. ㅤ The work is presented with a moulded wooden frame finished in aged gold, with a wide profile and a stepped composition. Its warm tone harmonizes with the ochers of the background and reinforces the classic and decorative character of the whole. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such case, we will require photographs of the damage to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to reasons such as being outside continental territory, excess size or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ The courier that must pass through the Swiss border may experience much longer delays than usual, so, if possible to expedite processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the client can release it and it can reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, the order may be delayed more than three days, so we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 48 × 52 cm Dimensions with frame: 61 × 64 cm
