Escuela Impresionista (XIX) - Reflejo en el lago

Title: Reflection on the Lake School: European Impressionist (19th century) Style: Impressionism Technique: Oil on panel Circle and artistic influence: Work linked to the European late 19th-century impressionist landscape tradition. Because of its interest in atmospheric effects, reflections on the water, and direct brushwork, it can be related to the circle of landscapists influenced by the Barbizon School and the later development of French Impressionism. The composition shows particular attention to the changing perception of light and the spontaneous treatment of nature. An intimate landscape featuring a tranquil stretch of water acting as a mirror for the vegetation and buildings on the opposite shore. In the foreground there are reeds and aquatic vegetation executed with quick, vertical brushstrokes that add depth to the composition. In the central plane a large tree with dark foliage stands out, its silhouette partially reflected on the lake. Behind the mass of vegetation, a rural or religious building is discerned, dominated by a vertical structure resembling a tower. The horizon is enveloped in purplish, ochre, and gray tones, creating a damp and slightly misty atmosphere. The painting technique concentrates especially on light effects and water reflections, built with loose brushstrokes and the layering of greens, violets, blues, and earth tones. The work presents a wholly landscape conception in which atmospheric impression takes precedence over meticulous description. The work is presented with a molded and ornamented wooden frame, finished in aged brown and gold tones. It features vegetal decoration in the corners and ornamental elements at the central points, following models of classical inspiration. Signs of age, minor abrasions, and superficial losses characteristic of time are evident. Observations Restorations present. Due to its age, the work may show signs of handling, small losses, craquelure, abrasions, or interventions compatible with its era and nature. The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In that case, we will require photos of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge for reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excessive dimensions or weight of the item. PremiArt will never cover this surcharge. The courier that must cross the Swiss border can be much slower than normal, so, if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the customer can unblock it and thus reach its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. Due to the high volume of shipments, orders may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. Framed dimensions: 50.5 x 34.5 cm Unframed dimensions: 46 x 30 cm
