Escuela Fauvista Europea (XX) - Paisaje en Ocres

Title: Ochre Landscape ㅤ School: European Fauvist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape Fauvism with Post-Impressionist influences. ㅤ Technique: Oil on canvas. ㅤ Condition: Good overall condition, with slight signs of aging on the frame. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: ㅤ This work finds its main stylistic references in Post-Impressionist landscape painting and in the European Fauvist currents of the 20th century. The simplification of forms and the use of wide color surfaces recall the pictorial investigations of Paul Cézanne and André Derain, especially in building the landscape through color planes. ㅤ The composition presents a wide mountainous landscape, where successive elevations in blueish and violet tones extend along the horizon. In the foreground unfolds a sequence of cultivated fields, represented by ochres, intense yellows, dark greens, and reddish earth tones. ㅤ The organization of the elements creates depth through horizontal bands that contrast with the direction of the strokes used in the farmland. ㅤ The brushwork is broad, energetic, and synthetic, with a marked presence of painterly matter. The contrast between the warm colors of the fields and the cool tones of the mountains constitutes one of the main expressive values of the work. ㅤ Signed in the lower left sector. ㅤ Accompanied by a gilded wooden frame, with wide stepped profile moldings and an inner light-toned band that provides luminosity to the whole. ㅤ Notes: ㅤ The artwork may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. If so, we will need photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. The customer's satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by a surcharge due to causes such as being outside a continental territory, excessive size or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ The courier that must pass through the Swiss border can be delayed much more than usual, so, if possible, to expedite processing we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so that the customer can unlock it and have it delivered to its destination.
