Escuela Fauvista Europea (XX) - Paisaje en Malvas

Title: Landscape in Mauves School: European Fauvist School (20th century) Style: Fauvist landscape painting with expressionist influences. Technique: Oil on panel, with impasto brushwork. Condition: Good overall conservation state. The frame shows small signs of use and age. Circle and artistic influence: Works stylistically related to Fauvist and European Post-Impressionist currents, especially for its subjective interpretation of color and its free treatment of the pictorial matter. Affinities can be appreciated with Maurice de Vlaminck and André Derain, as well as with some tendencies of Central European Expressionism. The composition represents a natural landscape organized into distinct chromatic planes. In the foreground there is a water surface that partially reflects the surrounding vegetation. Behind it stretches a strip of illuminated land, while several trees with dark leafy canopies occupy the right side. In the distance a mountain range of intense blue is discernible, contrasting with a bright sky worked with whites, light blues and soft grayish tones. The brushwork is vigorous, spontaneous and very textural, with thick applications of oil that reinforce the expressive character of the composition. The frame is wooden, with broad moldings in brown tones and a light textile mat, finished by a natural wood inner profile. Notes: The artwork may incur damage during transport even with proper packaging. In such a case, we will require photographs of the flaws to proceed with compensation.
