Title: Balcony to the Sea ㅤ School: European Fauvist School (20th century) ㅤ Style: Landscape Fauvism ㅤ Medium: Oil on canvas ㅤ Condition: Generally good conservation state, with possible signs of aging and use appropriate to its era. ㅤ Circle and artistic influence: The work is situated within the European landscape painting tradition linked to Fauvism and 20th-century Post-Impressionism. The spontaneous brushwork, simplification of forms, and expressive use of greens, ochres, and blues show affinities with those painters who, under the influence of Henri Matisse, André Derain, and the Mediterranean landscape painters of the early 20th century, favored color intensity and direct perception of the landscape over a strictly academic representation. ㅤ The composition presents a bright coastal view seen from an elevated setting. In the foreground there is a simple railing amid abundant vegetation, which draws the viewer into the scene and guides the eye toward a path that descends through trees and masses of foliage. In the distance the sea opens up, defined by a blue band that contrasts with the clear sky and adds depth to the composition. ㅤ The painting stands out for its loose and vigorous execution, with visible and impasto brushstrokes that build the trees and vegetation through patches of color. Olive greens, yellows, and ochres dominate the landscape, while the bluish tones of the sky and sea balance the overall chromatic composition. The work conveys a warm Mediterranean atmosphere, with particular interest in light and color effects. ㅤ The work is presented with a wide-profile frame, decorative finish in light tones with fine dark lines that simulate a veined texture. The outer gold perimeter and the light inner molding provide contrast and a decoratively classical character, visually framing the scene without taking away its protagonism. ㅤ Observations: The work may incur damage during transport even with proper packing. In such a case, we will require photographs of the damages to proceed with compensation. Customer satisfaction is always our priority. ㅤ Exceptionally, shipping costs may be affected by surcharge reasons such as being outside a continental territory, excess dimensions, or weight of the item. PremiArt will not cover this surcharge under any circumstances. ㅤ The courier service that must cross the Swiss border may experience significant delays, so if possible, to speed up processing, we will provide the customs number that is holding the shipment so the client can unlock it and ensure it reaches its destination. Experience has taught us that this is the most effective solution for both parties. ㅤ Due to the high volume of shipments, orders may be delayed by more than three days, for which we apologize and thank you for your patience. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us via internal messaging. ㅤ Dimensions: 28 × 23 cm Dimensions with frame: 32 × 36 cm
