Enrico Faccini - 4 Offset Print - Topolino - Signed - 4 assi carte napoletane

4 prints by Enrico Faccini portraying the 4 axes of the Neapolitan cards The prints are A4 size (29.7x21 cm) and are made on cardstock. All 4 prints are signed in the original. I note an ink mark on Gastone's print (visible in the photo). Since he was little, Enrico drew extremely well. That’s what his teachers and schoolmates said, and deep down he believed it too. One day he entered the wonderful worlds created by Barks, Gottfredson, and Scarpa... and he never managed to leave them. When he draws, he is inspired by Carpi and Cavazzano, for his stories rich with paradoxical and a bit crazy humor. He would like to resemble Gastone, but inevitably, most of the time he ends up looking more like Paperino. When they have coffee together, Paperoga always tells him that he has a lot of fun interpreting the adventures he tailors for him, while his cousin sometimes gets a bit upset. (But Paperino is gruff and touchy, everyone knows it.) With Paperone there is a relationship of mutual tolerance: the old tycoon got furious with Enrico because, on a couple of occasions, he made him look the fool, something that does not befit a magnificent billionaire of his caliber. That’s probably why Paperone’s bank refused him a mortgage for the house. Enrico also has Topolino’s mobile phone and he always says they’ll need to get in touch sooner or later, but when he calls most of the time the answering machine picks up and they keep postponing.
