Descriptio Set of four oval compositions depicting views of Italian cities: the Duomo of Milan, the Riva degli Schiavoni in Venice, an Italian port view, and a nighttime view of Naples with Mount Vesuvius erupting. Mixed media painting with iridescent mother-of-pearl appliqués and inlays, protected under glass. The scenes are articulated by architectural elements, boats, and numerous small figures, highlighting the contrast between the dark backgrounds and the luminous reflections of the appliqués. Oval frames of molded and gilded wood. The back is closed by an oval panel, attached to the frame with small nails, with a metal hanging ring. Dimensions: 47 x 38 cm and 59 x 48 cm. Set of four pieces for restoration.
