Elegant Antiek Wijntafeltje Louis XV stijl - met lade en...

A wine/side table, originating from the South of France, is made of solid mahogany; this piece of small furniture is characterized by a stunning patina that has only grown more beautiful over time. It has a tabletop that is not only recessed but also elegantly curved in shape. Moreover, the table is equipped with both a handy drawer for storage and a pull-out leaf for extra space beside the top, making it particularly functional and perfect as a side table. The design exudes the refinement of the Louis XV style, with particularly slender, facet-shaped and lightly curved legs. The table is in good condition and is sturdy and stable. It shows older restorations and signs of age, which is fitting for a piece of furniture from the early 19th century. There is, however, something special about this table ... an antique clever solution. The drawer features a subtle latch that does not stand out at first glance. On the underside there is a wooden rod that you must press to open the drawer, after which it moves slightly forward. When closing, you slide the drawer back and it locks automatically. This refined mechanical solution is rarely seen in such elegant little tables. We recommend you examine the photos carefully, so you can fully appreciate the condition and the distinctive variety of this beautiful object. You can also use the zoom function on the photos, so you can inspect the object thoroughly to your liking. Questions? ..auctioneer) The item is shipped very well packaged
