Claude Louis Georges COUTURIER (1858-1918) French School (19th-20th century) "Rural Life Scene on the Village Path" signed and dated 10-12 (1910-1912) A superb and luminous post-impressionist painting created in the early 20th century (circa 1910-1912), depicting a dirt path in the countryside. In the foreground, one can distinguish the silhouettes of a peasant woman wearing a traditional white coif, accompanied by a child walking along the edge of the path. In the background stand village houses of France (Brittany / Normandy?).
