E. García - La casa amarilla XL

LA CASA AMARILLA is a 70x100 cm painting by contemporary artist Ernest García. The work represents a domestic interior of great chromatic intensity, articulated around a yellow door opened to a small balcony full of vegetation and flowers. The scene combines furniture, architecture, decoration, and nature in a luminous, enveloping composition, where color transforms everyday space into an image with strong pictorial personality. The composition is organized in depth starting from the blue sofa in the foreground, the reddish floor, and the large central door that visually leads outward. The blue and white rug occupies a significant part of the lower zone and acts as an ornamental element, while the side table, the plants, and the wall canvases complete an intimate and carefully constructed atmosphere. The open door functions as a threshold between interior and exterior, reinforcing the sense of spaciousness and spatial continuity. The color palette is especially vibrant. Ernest García combines intense yellows, deep blues, orange-reds, greens, and whites, creating contrasts of great visual impact. The yellow of the walls and carpentry dialog with the blue of the sofa, the exterior night, and the rug, while the reds of the floor and the flowers add warmth and dynamism. This expressive and emotional use of color naturally connects with Fauvism. The brushwork is visible, direct, and energetic. The wall surfaces retain a gestural texture, while the furniture and architecture are resolved through simplified shapes and firm outlines. The vegetal and ornamental motifs introduce a decorative rhythm that recalls the importance Henri Matisse attributed to the interior, textiles, plants, and large fields of color, understood here as a visual affinity within a contemporary language of its own. The work also preserves echoes of modern intimacy and the tradition of Mediterranean interiors, where doors and windows connect domestic life with courtyards, gardens, and balconies. The space appears inhabited even in the absence of human figures: cushions, paintings, flowers, and the open door suggest presence and daily life. LA CASA AMARILLA conveys a sense of warmth, refuge, and vitality. The intensity of color does not erase the serenity of the scene; rather, it makes it a welcoming and optimistic visual experience. The contrast between the warm interior and the deep blue exterior also adds an especially attractive atmospheric dimension. LA CASA AMARILLA will be particularly interesting for collectors of contemporary figurative painting, colorful interiors, domestic architecture, Fauvism, Henri Matisse, Mediterranean painting, decoration, plants, open doors, and Spanish contemporary art. Its rich chromaticity, its deep composition, and its strong ornamental presence give it notable appeal for collection and auction. Authenticity and Shipping: The work is offered directly by E.
