Baumes — Treatise on convulsions in childhood, their causes and treatment Paris, Méquignon l’aîné, An XIII – 1805. Second edition, revised, corrected and notably augmented. About 509 pages. Work specializing in the different forms of convulsions in children, their causes and treatments. 2. A. Berton — Treatise on diseases of children, or investigations into the main affections of early age Paris, J.-B. Baillière, 1837. First edition. With notes by Dr. Baron. About 502 pages. Detailed study of the main pediatric pathologies, based on clinical, physiological and anatomical observations. 3. E. Bouchut — Practical treatise on diseases of newborns and of children at the breast Paris, J.-B. Baillière, 1852. Second edition, revised, corrected and considerably augmented. About 924 pages, notably with an important formulary of medicines administered in diseases of early childhood. About 1,935 numbered pages in total, excluding possible preliminary pages. The three volumes are bound in half-leather with ornated spine and gilt titles, forming a visually cohesive set. Condition: old-correct state — bindings with signs of use, some rubbing, foxing and scattered halos, more pronounced on certain leaves of the 1805 volume. Interiors nevertheless clearly legible and the set solid given its age. See photographs for exact condition. Set particularly interesting for the history of medicine, pediatrics and the treatments of childhood in the 19th century.
