Fullsize KLM aircraft trolley You know them from the plane, where the airline trolleys are rolled through the aisles by flight attendants. Passengers are offered drinks, meals, or Duty Free items. The wheels and foot brakes work as they should. The trolley features this rugged KLM design and looks superb in any interior. The catering cart is used but in good condition. Here and there a bump, scratch, or dent. View the photos carefully. A must-have for collectors of galley equipment. Used aircraft trolley from KLM. This full-size hybrid trolley has been used. Complete with 4 new drawers. The trolley has 2 doors and dual brakes. The cart is by Zodiac Aerospace (formerly Driessen). KLM Royal Dutch Airlines On October 7, 1919 the 'Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij voor Nederland en Koloniën' was founded by deed at the notary office of Mr. H. Stoop in The Hague. The start-up capital of 1.2 million guilders was provided by eight businessmen, including Frits Fentener van Vlissingen and Anton Kröller. Lieutenant-pilot Albert Plesman became administrator and later director. Queen Wilhelmina granted the title ‘Royal’ to KLM in formation on September 12, 1919. The first KLM office opened on October 21, 1919 on Herengracht in The Hague. KLM's first commercial flight was on May 17, 1920, from London to Amsterdam. When the de Havilland DH.16 G-EALU (also known as DH 9A), flown by English pilot H. 'Jerry' Shaw, landed at Schiphol. In the following years the fleet grew with own airplanes, mostly aircraft from Fokker, and flights to increasingly more European destinations. KLM flew to Batavia (the Dutch East Indies, now Jakarta, Indonesia) for the first time on October 1, 1924. It was the longest intercontinental route before World War II. In this period KLM grew into the third airline in the world, after Pan American Airways and Imperial Airways. In 1945, after World War II, KLM resumed its scheduled services and in 1946 became the first European airline to operate scheduled services to the United States. The service to the Indies was also restored, flown with aircraft such as the Dakota and Lockheed Constellation. In 1960 the first jet aircraft entered the fleet, the Douglas DC-8, later followed by the smaller Douglas DC-9 for European traffic. In 1971 KLM introduced the Boeing 747 (still with the short, bar-like upper deck) and in 1972 the DC-10, the start of KLM's wide-body fleet. The network expanded steadily and eventually included non-stop destinations on all continents. Despite a small domestic market, KLM grew to become the fourth airline in Europe. For domestic air travel, NLM Cityhopper was founded in 1966, and from the mid-1970s also active on regional flights in Europe. Since 1991, after a merger with Netherlines, this subsidiary flies under the name KLM Cityhopper. KLM has also become increasingly dominant in the Dutch aviation sector with interests in Transavia and Martinair, fully owned subsidiaries since 2003 and 2008 respectively. Cooperation with other airlines became increasingly important. Since 1993 all flights between the US and Europe have been operated as a joint venture with Northwest Airlines (which merged into Delta Air Lines). In the 1990s there were talks with other European airlines, including British Airways and Alitalia, about far-reaching cooperation and even a merger. This ultimately resulted on May 5, 2004 in the merger of KLM with Air France to form Air France-KLM. Through this merger the company was also incorporated into the SkyTeam alliance. On February 27, 2019 the Dutch state owned 5.92% of KLM’s shares. Tracking shipping. Search: flugzeug trolley catering trolley galley equipment airline cart
