The work is advertised on the title pages as being accompanied by numerous wood engravings interleaved in the text. Bindings: half brown leather, spine with raised bands adorned with gilt rules, titles and years gilt, boards with marbled paper. Condition: generally good for this old set. Bindings show rubbing and some wear at the head and corners. Interiors with foxing, stains, and signs of time, visible in the photographs. A fine documentary and historical collection allowing the progression of French medical knowledge and practices under the Second Empire and at the beginning of the Third Republic. Sale of the 8 volumes as a set, in their antique condition, in accordance with the photographs.
