Large-format original work by the German contemporary artist Dominik Schmitt (born 1983). The work comes from private ownership and was acquired through the Thomas Hühsam Gallery in Offenbach. The original invoice is available. In addition, the work is offered with an authenticity certificate. Characteristic of Schmitt’s pictorial language is the multifaceted combination of figurative painting, collage, drawing, and surreal elements. Fragmented human bodies, faces, and hands meet abstract surfaces, written characters, numbers, and strong color accents. Through the numerous superimposed layers and different textures, the work reveals extraordinary subtle detail, especially up close. The distinctive turquoise, gray, and earth tones, along with the collage-like composition, give the painting a strong contemporary presence.
