Dinky Toys

A charming ensemble devoted to great classic automobiles and the mythical world of Dinky Toys. This lot brings together 5 collectible car miniatures, including two Dinky Toys / Atlas Editions reproductions presented in their characteristic yellow boxes, accompanied by several collectible accessories. The set forms a pretty testimony of the golden age of the automobile and of the world of miniatures that accompanied it. Dinky Toys – Simca 8 Sport Reproduction of the famous Simca 8 Sport, offered within the Dinky Toys collection by Atlas Editions. Presented with its yellow Dinky Toys box, bearing the illustration and the designation “SIMCA 8 SPORT.” This miniature is a modern reissue from the Atlas/Norev collection and not an old-period Dinky Toys model. Dinky Toys – Peugeot 403 Sedan Reproduction of the Peugeot 403 Sedan, another great French car inseparable from the history of Dinky Toys. Presented with its yellow Dinky Toys box “BERLINE 403 PEUGEOT.” As with the Simca, it is a reissue from the Atlas/Norev collection, made in homage to the historic Dinky Toys models. Salmson 125 S – 1948 Elegant post-war French car in a very beautiful black and cream two-tone livery. The miniature sits on its nominative base “Salmson 125 S – 1948,” protected by its clear protective cap. A particularly stylish piece that adds a lot of presence to the display. Two additional classic automobiles The lot is completed by two more miniatures of classic cars, one in an elegant black and cream livery and the other in a deep dark green finish. They are offered as shown in the photographs. Dinky Toys / Atlas Editions Accessories The set also includes several elements that greatly strengthen its collector’s character: – Atlas Editions yellow box, imported by Norev for Atlas Editions, reference 2 083 982; it corresponds to the reproduction box of Dinky Toys “CITY” signal boards, historic ref. 40. – Dinky Toys 1954 booklet/catalog – Atlas Editions Collections, illustrated with several famous Dinky Toys models. – Two metal collectible keychains, with an enameled medallion inspired by the Dinky club universe. A display-ready ensemble More than just a group of miniatures, this lot pairs classic French automobiles, Dinky Toys reproductions, packaging and collecting documents. The famous yellow boxes, the illustrated catalog, the Atlas box and the accessories create a particularly evocative ensemble for fans of vintage automotive miniatures. The items come from a collection and are offered in their current condition, as seen in the photographs. The packaging and accessories may show signs of storage, handling and age. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow precise appreciation of the state and contents of the lot. The miniatures, boxes and accessories will be individually wrapped and carefully protected for shipping. A particularly interesting set for collectors of Dinky Toys, Atlas Editions, Norev, French automotive miniatures and automobilia.
