Tray with grape decoration – ceramic inlay and pierced metal rim A stylish accent for a beautifully set table or a atmospheric interior. This square tray combines a colorful ceramic inlay with a silver-colored metal surround on four ball feet. The decoration immediately draws the eye: deep blue grape clusters and green vine leaves form a lively border around the cream-colored central panel. The light blue background gives the piece a fresh look. The elevated, pierced gallery edge adds a refined rhythm of elongated and circular openings. The combination of ceramic, metal and stylized plant motifs aligns with the decorative tradition of trays from the Art Nouveau/Jugendstil period. Similar pieces were produced around the turn of the twentieth century. The maker and exact dating of this tray have not been determined. An attractive presentation tray for a special place on a sideboard, coffee table or in a crockery collection. Even without further styling, the grape decoration and the graceful surround come into their own.
