Des illustrateurs à Paris - 4 Gift boxes + invitation card - Étude Boisgirard

- Des illustrateurs à Paris - is a unique concept for an auction catalog in the form of a card game, published in the 1990s in limited edition prints by the auctioneer Claude Boisgirard and the comic book expert Frédéric Bosser. Instead of a book, each major sale (notably in 1993, 1995 and 1996) is given a limited edition cardboard box (mainly 800 copies) illustrated each time by a renowned illustrator (such as Benoît Jacques or Cathy Millet). --- The 4 boxes (cardboard cases) in gray, orange, blue and burgundy are in very good condition. They are all complete. The cards are in very good condition++. > Rare presence of very slightly bumped corners as well as a natural curvature of some cards (rare). > Presence of the price in francs (probably the adjudication price) in pencil on some of the cards. - Description of the condition of each box: > Red box: rare presence of very light scuffs on some of the corners. > Gray box: Slight to very slight discoloration of the paper on 3 of the corners + you can visibly see at the bottom of the box a slight excess of glue that bled or bled through during manufacture: no impact on the cards. They are all intact except for one card on which a brown stain is noticed (see photo). > Blue box: very, very light scuffs on some corners including one corner slightly more rubbed with a small tear extending from it. > Orange box: very good condition+. - Description of each of the 4 boxed sets (boxes): . Blue cardboard case: complete with its 144 cards (141 + 3). January 20, 1996 - 9th sale - Box illustrated by Daniel Maja. . Orange cardboard case: complete with its 141 cards (138 + 3). February 6, 1993 - 4th sale - Box illustrated by Benoît Jacques depicting a man dressed as an auctioneer. . Gray cardboard case: complete with its 132 cards (127 + 5). May 12, 1995 - 7th sale - Cover illustration and lot number icons illustrated by Jeffrey Fisher. . Burgundy cardboard case: complete with its 140 cards (138 + 2). November 27, 1993 - 5th sale (dedicated to Richard Parent and Steven Jimel). Additionally: the invitation card (21 x 14.5 cm) to the auction event centered on contemporary illustration, which took place on Sunday, March 12, 2000 at 2:00 pm (Maître Claude Boisgirard, Drouot-Richelieu: des illustrateurs à Paris).
