Vintage wall-mounted coffee grinder – Delft blue windmill landscape – ceramic, wood, metal & glass – ca. 1950–1970 Atmospheric vintage wall-mounted coffee grinder with a beautiful ceramic bean reservoir, decorated in a classic Delft blue inspired Dutch landscape. Central to the scene is a windmill, surrounded by a farm, trees, water and the Dutch polder landscape. The combination of creamy ceramic with cobalt blue decor, the warm wooden wall plate and the black metal grinding mechanism gives this coffee grinder exactly that nostalgic look that is so characteristic of mid-20th-century kitchen interiors. This type of wall-mounted coffee grinder was widely used in the Netherlands and Germany. Manufacturers such as PeDe/Peter Dienes produced similar examples with a ceramic reservoir, cast metal grinding mechanism, wooden wall plate and glass collection bowl. The Industrial Museum documents several PeDe coffee grinders from the mid-20th century, while Dutch auction archives also show wall models with Delft blue windmill decor. In the photos shown, however, no clear factory mark is visible on this grinder. Therefore it is intentionally not attributed to PeDe, Zassenhaus or any other manufacturer. Similar Delft blue decorated wall grinders are generally dated to around the 1950s–1970s period. The mill consists of a ceramic bean reservoir with a wooden lid, a sturdy black metal grinding housing and a fine curved crank with a turned wooden handle. Under the grinding mechanism is the square glass collection bowl, with horizontal measurement markings. The whole is mounted on a beautifully shaped wooden back plate with holes for wall mounting. There are localized small discolorations, specks and minor signs of use on the ceramic. The blue windmill decor is still beautiful and clear. The wooden parts show light scratches, discoloration and patina. The black metal grinding mechanism, mounting parts and the crank also show normal signs of use and age. The glass collection bowl is present and appears intact in the photos. The complete grinding assembly and crank are present; the grinder has not been tested long-term under grinding operation and is therefore primarily offered as a vintage collectible and decorative object. A particularly atmospheric piece for enthusiasts of old coffee grinders, Dutch kitchenalia, Delft blue decor and nostalgic kitchen interiors. Even without use, this is a striking wall feature in a kitchen, coffee corner, cafe or hospitality venue. Optimized
