Decorative Cupid in French biscuit porcelain - 19th Century

Descriptio White porcelain. Measures 26 x 12 x 18 cm. Figure of a winged putto in a dynamic pose, with a nude body slightly turned and accompanied by a quiver, torch, and floral garland—elements that allude to amorous and allegorical iconography. The piece stands out for the delicacy of the modeling, the softness of the flesh tones, and the refined treatment of the hair, wings, and attributes. The uniform whiteness accentuates the sculptural effect and the neoclassical elegance of the whole, in keeping with the 19th-century European decorative taste inspired by the Sèvres style. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
