Poster featuring the cover of the April 2018 issue of " The New Yorker " Originally designed for store window displays, this large-format poster (70 x 50 cm) is in very good condition. The poster has a self-adhesive backing for use as a sticker on the storefront window, but it can also be framed and hung on the wall. For this iconic 2018 cover of The New Yorker, titled "The Road", David Hockney adapted his 2017 painting Tall Dutch Trees After Hobbema (Useful Knowledge), itself a contemporary reinterpretation of The Avenue at Middelharnis(1689), a masterpiece by Meindert Hobbema. In it, Hockney boldly reimagines the conventions of classical perspective, transforming the 17th-century Dutch avenue into a vibrant, luminous, and resolutely modern landscape.
