Daniel & John Wellby, London - Platter - .925 silver

Antique English sterling silver footed small bowl from the Edwardian era, presumably manufactured in London in 1903. The bowl has an elegant oval shape, a rounded foot, and a finely engraved heraldic emblem with a bird spreading its wings. Fitted with English silver hallmarks, including the lion passant (sterling silver, 925/1000) and the London leopard head. The date letter appears to correspond to 1903. The maker's mark is attributed to the London silversmiths Daniel & John Welby. Weight: approximately 95 g. Maximum width: approximately 11 cm. Height: approximately 5–6 cm. Good antique condition with light signs of use and a natural age patina. An attractive and decorative example of English silverware from the early 20th century. Please examine all photos carefully for your own assessment of the condition, the hallmarks and other particulars. The photos form an important part of the description.
