► “Between Ruin and Touch” – Original Painting Original, handmade painting by Daniel Witschkanow, 2026 Description This expressive triptych connects three intense emotional states into a cohesive visual narrative. In a restrained, yet extremely powerful black-and-white language, faces emerge from fine, impulsive lines and condensed color fields, hovering between vulnerability, longing, and inner tension. The composition feels raw, direct and at the same time poetic. The central work forms the emotional center of the triptych: Two people meet in a moment of extreme closeness, almost like before a kiss. This intimate tension is framed by the two outer paintings, each showing individual faces with palpable inner unrest and emotional heaviness. Thus a tense dialogue between loneliness and connection, between distance and touch, between inner pain and human closeness arises. The special effect of this ensemble lies in its immediacy. The linear, almost nervous thread language lends the faces something fugitive and at the same time something deeply real. Depending on the viewing distance, the expression and intensity of the figures change, revealing the triptych’s ever-new details and emotional layers. A striking unique piece with strong presence for modern interiors, collectors of contemporary art, or expressive gallery spaces.
