Cupboard - Oak

Lovely and rare (Utrecht) counter cabinet. So small a size is rarely seen: 88 cm tall. Early 17th century, with some restorations and alterations Inside authentically painted in a green colour. Paint made from pigment and stand oil. This cabinet has never had a lock but a small brass latch. Originally it had long forged bolts, which were later replaced. -see detail photo- Deep fluting in the side stiles, these extend down to the ground as legs. That is early 17th century; ball feet did not come into fashion until after 1650. Quarter-sawn oak, which reveals those 'flames' in the panel. Bids below the limit will not be honored. Prices are very reasonable; I enjoy selling to people who appreciate it. This piece of furniture I ship well packaged on a pallet to prevent damage. I only ship to EU countries. Buyers from other countries must arrange their own transport. You will receive the shipping details from me. This can be with UPS, GLS, FedEx and DHL. You will receive a label from your carrier and email it to me. I can advise you.
