Cradle - Wood

Antique, hand-painted wooden poppenwieg (doll cradle), from the first half of the 20th century, often painted in a folk or country style (brocante / allmoge). Main features: • Material: Solid wood, with turned posts and bases (schommel- / swing base). • Hand-painted: The side walls and headboard are hand-painted with traditional folk motifs or figures (such as Hindelooper or country-style flowers, scenes). • Use: Originally made as a toy (doll cradle), but today a popular piece of home decor, often used as decoration, for storing small shoes/objects or as a flower pot (plantenbak).
