About the painting: This vibrant painting transports the viewer to a sun-drenched Mediterranean escape, bursting with color and coastal charm. The focal point is a striking, bright yellow stucco facade, beautifully textured with patches of rustic red brickwork showing through. A classic window, framed by vivid royal blue shutters flung wide open, invites a gentle sea breeze into a cozy interior where a potted green plant and a warm lamp are visible. Perched gracefully on the stone sill is a sleek black-and-white tuxedo cat, sitting in quiet contemplation as its long tail hangs over the edge. The cat gazes out toward a breathtaking view of the shimmering azure sea, where a solitary white sailboat drifts lazily near the distant, hazy mountains. On the windowsill, a terracotta planter overflows with lush green leaves and deep red geraniums, while climbing pink bougainvillea branches frame the right side of the canvas with bursts of magenta blossoms. Adding a wonderful touch of local authenticity and daily life, a clothesline stretches across the bottom of the scene. Crisp laundry hangs to dry in the afternoon sun, gently swaying over a cobblestone street lined with traditional wrought-iron lanterns. The high-contrast color palette and bold, painterly brushstrokes perfectly capture the warm, slow-paced essence of la dolce vita on the Italian coast. About the artist: My name is Corina Madalina Schröder. I was born in Timisoara, Romania, in 1969 and grew up in the Satu Mare region (Transylvania). I came to Germany at the age of 43. I lived and worked there in Bad Säckingen am Rhein until 2023. The direct proximity to the Swiss border, the central location in Europe and the diversity of the people there gave me many creative influences and so I painted in a very modern and lively way and was able to present my pictures in many exhibitions. (including Germany, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland). In June 2023 I moved with my husband to beautiful, sunny Spain, to Benijofar, south of Alicante. Here, strongly influenced by the wonderful sea, the great light, the friendliness of the people and the Mediterranean atmosphere, my passion for painting received new impulses. I love painting. Even as a child, I was fascinated by using pens and brushes. I always went forward courageously, learned a lot and my artistic talent was born into me through my mother, who was a painter and art teacher. So I started not only painting but also creating all sorts of things. Be it sewing, knitting and modeling with clay. I love individual design and today especially expressive painting. Especially in today's fast-paced times, where people are quick to evaluate and harshly comment, I find it particularly important to be able to calmly and calmly indulge in the joy of one's own creativity. Without “right or wrong” but just completely ME... Since the beginning, my works have been exhibited in several german and international exhibitions, art salons and galleries, such as: Brugge, Madrid, Venice, Bucarest, Basel, London, Paris etc...
