Contemporary 3.04 ct Diamond and White Gold Ring, Italian, c. 2000

This extraordinary ring in 18-karat white gold transports the beholder into a world of futuristic elegance and timeless beauty. 3.04 ct brilliant-cut diamonds of excellent quality sparkle in an artfully designed pavé setting. The brilliant-cut diamonds, set close together in concentric circles, are arranged on a slightly curved surface so that they reflect the light in all directions and create a sparkle that bathes the entire ring in a fascinating interplay of light and shadow. The ring face is centrally organized around a large brilliant-cut diamond weighing around 0.85 ct, which is securely set in a bezel setting. The other 71 brilliant-cut diamonds come in three different sizes, which have been chosen to fill the entire surface of the ring face. Based on its hallmark, we know that the ring was made in Italy. We date it to around the turn of the millennium.
