Contax F + Hexatar 2,8/45mm | Single lens reflex camera (SLR)

Rare East German Zeiss Ikon Contax F with Hexatar 45mm f/2.8 Historically important piece of camera history: the Zeiss Ikon Contax F (VEB Zeiss Ikon Dresden), equipped with a rarer Hexatar 45mm f/2.8 München lens with M42 screw mount. This late-1950s model marked a revolution in photography as one of the first SLR cameras with an internal mechanism for an automatic stop-down (automatic diaphragm). This specimen comes from a carefully assembled Zeiss private collection. The camera is cosmetically in nice condition with normal signs of age. The camera has not been tested. A notable detail is that this camera is equipped with a special viewfinder. On the pentaprism sits a unique flash shoe adapter/viewfinder attachment (mounted on top of the iconic Dresden logo), giving this particular specimen an extra unique and technical look for display.
