Console table - Wall console - Polystone - A gilded wall console

This object is a gold-colored wall console (also known as a wall shelf or repisa) in the graceful Rococo or Baroque style. Such vintage elements were traditionally used as decorative wall supports for, for example, a small figurine, a vase, a candlestick, or a religious saint statue. This specific type is made of polystone. The console was with near certainty made in the period 1960–1970. In these decades (partly falling under the Hollywood Regency design trend) casting polystone wall ornaments, mirror frames, and consoles in Baroque style was enormously popular in Western Europe. Dimensions: 16 cm high, 14.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm deep. Weight: 430 grams. Carefully packed, registered, and insured for shipment. Not shipped to the United States.
