Exceptional Pair of Antique Porcelain Half Dolls – Original Pink Silk Pincushions – Fine Hand-Painted Details – Circa 1920 A beautiful and exceptionally decorative pair of antique porcelain half dolls, believed to date from the early 20th century, circa 1920–1930. Both ladies feature delicate hand-painted facial details, beautifully modelled hairstyles, elegant period clothing and attractive original-style fabric skirts. Presented on two different pink silk-style pincushions, these charming examples are particularly appealing for collectors of antique half dolls, porcelain figurines and vintage sewing accessories. Both porcelain dolls are in excellent condition, with no visible chips, cracks or repairs. Doll 1 – Elegant Lady with Pink Hat and Green Dress A particularly attractive porcelain half doll depicting an elegant lady wearing a soft pink bonnet over beautifully sculpted blonde curls. She wears a delicate pale green dress with white detailing and holds a small pink rose against her chest. Her finely painted facial features, graceful pose and intricate porcelain details give her a wonderfully refined appearance. The doll is mounted on a generously gathered peach-pink satin-style skirt, creating the appearance of a full period ball gown. The fabric has a subtle sheen and attractive flowing folds. A lovely example of the traditional antique half-doll pincushion design. Dimensions: * Total height: 15 cm * Porcelain doll height: 7 cm * Overall base dimensions: 10 × 10 cm Condition: Excellent porcelain condition, with no visible chips, cracks or repairs. The fabric displays minor signs of age and storage. Doll 2 – Lady with Elaborate Hat, Pink Pincushion and Original Pearl-Headed Pin An especially charming and decorative porcelain half doll featuring an elegant lady wearing a wide-brimmed pale blue hat adorned with pink and yellow decorations. Her blonde curled hair frames a delicately hand-painted face, while her graceful crossed-arm pose and soft pink shawl create a particularly attractive composition. The porcelain figure is mounted on a beautifully gathered pink fabric pincushion, featuring layered ruffles and delicate cream lace trimming around the base. The pincushion retains an original-style pearl-headed hatpin, adding to its appeal as a collectible vintage sewing accessory. The combination of the elaborate porcelain hat, delicate facial features and decorative fabric makes this a particularly appealing example. Dimensions: * Total height: 14 cm * Porcelain doll height: 7 cm * Overall base dimensions: 12 × 12 cm Condition: Excellent porcelain condition, with no visible chips, cracks or repairs. The pink fabric and lace show minor age-related wear and marks consistent with their vintage character. Overall Condition and Collectability Both dolls are beautifully preserved, with delicate porcelain features, attractive pastel colours and elegant period styling. The porcelain is in excellent condition, and the fabric skirts remain decorative and well presented, showing only natural signs of age. These two contrasting examples complement each other beautifully and would make a wonderful addition to an established collection of antique porcelain half dolls, pincushion dolls or early 20th-century vanity and sewing accessories. The lot includes both complete half dolls, their fabric pincushion skirts and the pearl-headed pin shown in the photographs. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and illustrate the condition and fine details of both pieces.
