The collection includes piano, vocal, opera and sacred music and contains works by many important European composers. Among the collection are, among others: 1. Ferdinand Hérold – Le Pré aux Clercs – Opéra comique in 3 acts, Piano and Vocal Score, 4th edition; Paris, Léon Grus. With a fine illustrated title page. 4. Johann Sebastian Bach – Matthäus-Passion – bound music edition. 5. Johann Sebastian Bach – Johannes-Passion – bound music edition. 6. Franz Liszt – Werke für Klavier zu 2 Händen, issued by Emil Sauer, Volume I – Rhapsodies; Leipzig, C. F. Peters. 7. Frédéric Chopin – Nocturnes für Klavier, new edition by Eyvind Alnæs; Wilhelm Hansen Edition. 8. August Reinhard – Harmonium-Schule zum Selbstunterricht, Op. 16; Carl Simon Musikverlag, Berlin. 9. Wilhelm Süss – Akademische Studien – music edition. 12. A large collection of scores by famous composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Weber, Verdi, Paderewski and others, bound in one volume. In addition, the collection contains three separate slim music publications: 13. Edvard Grieg – Konzert für Klavier, Op. 16, a-moll – arrangement for four-hand piano; Edition Peters no. 2505, 55 pages. 14. Carl Czerny – Fleur d’Orient – separate publication for piano. 15. Richert – Le Départ – separate sheet music publication. In the photos there are also pages and individual compositions visible by, among others, Beethoven, Schubert and Benjamin Godard, including Beethoven’s Für Elise, Schubert’s Deux Scherzi and 2e Valse, Op. 56 by Benjamin Godard. The collection is not only interesting for its musical content but also as a collection of historical European music publications from different countries and publishers. Represented are, among others, C. F. Peters, Durand, Choudens, Wilhelm Hansen and Carl Simon. The publications are in old hard, half-leather and soft bindings. The condition is appropriate to age. There are signs of use and aging, wear on some bindings, local stains and natural discoloration of the paper. The printed sheet music is generally well preserved and clearly legible. Total: 15 separate physical items – 3 slim music-booklets and 12 bound publications.
