Artist Biography Collaborates with Galleria Artd2 Milano Galleria Blanchaert Milano Series "Leggere" (photographs not posed) Cities declined as immense reading rooms in the open air. The depicted characters are casually captured, not posed. started in 2003 (and still in progress), in which cities are presented as immense reading rooms in the open air, whose borders, embracing stairs, walls, alleys and monuments, become easily refuges to yield to one\'s preferred authors. Montecucco manages to evoke that gentle and malleable atmosphere ready to welcome and nurture the reader, preserving the intimacy of the most sweet moment from the chaos of the cities. In the case of the images presented by Montecucco, the artist has managed to give an additional meaning to his works, which have grown stronger with the concept of reading, and thus of Culture. The photograph, with its casual readers, is the protagonist of the architectures and the magnificent works of art scattered throughout our art cities, merging with them to create an intimate and silent dialogue between man, art and thought. The depicted characters are casually captured, while absorbed in reading, often with their backs turned and constantly unaware of being part of a work of art. Claudio Montecucco tells his project by using the words of Robert Doisneau: "What I was trying to show was a world where I would feel good, where people would be kind, where I would find the tenderness I hoped to receive. My photos were like proof that this world can exist."
