German Art Deco silver-overlay perfume bottle from the 1920s/30s of the previous century. The perfume bottle is made of porcelain, pure silver, and a metal cap. The combination of the fresh color and graceful design gives the bottle a timeless appearance. The small twist-off cap of the bottle is crown-shaped (Crowntop). The pure silver (1000/1000) is applied via an electrolytic process. The perfume bottles are now a sought-after collectible and are becoming increasingly scarce. This specimen is in beautiful condition and may soon be gracing your space! Stamped with the old tax mark. Overall condition is very good! The bottle will, of course, be well packaged for shipping. The German inventor Friedrich Deusch patented the silverlay process in 1895 and showcased his work in 1907 at the Bordeaux exhibition. Thanks to him the town Schwäbisch Gmünd became the center of German production of silver coatings. The first objects Friedrich Deusch designed and produced are very classical, followed by an abstract phase of Art Déco in its purest form. After Deusch and Company, other companies were founded that specialized in this technique, such as Friedrich Wilhelm Spahr and Alfred and Manfred Veyhl.
