Chinese porcelain grisaille border with a hunting scene made for the Western market. Qianlong period. circa 1750 On the plate we see a Western scene, a fox hunt, with 4 riders on horseback. 2 riders on horseback in the foreground and 2 riders on horseback in the background. 3 hunters have a whip in hand. A pack of 10 hounds chase the fox in the foreground. The fox is visible on the left. Furthermore, there are houses to the left and right, a large tree in the front left, and several trees. A small stream in the foreground. The inner and outer rims and the fine border decorations are also painted with gold paint. The plate has a diameter of 22.5 cm. Depth 2.5 cm. 2 thin hairlines (2.5 cm) on the left and right margins. 2 flecks on the rim. For buyers outside the EU, shipment may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and surcharges.
