Sublime "A. MOTTI. INC." Signed Italian Concept Dollar Pattern CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, Year 18-R (1929). Rome Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-63+. L&M-91; K-614A; KM-Pn98; WS-0136A; Wenchao-916 (rarity: ★★★). Variety with "A. MOTTI" signature. While this may, at first glance, appear to be the "regular" Italian design from Rome, it is, in fact, the much RARER version featuring both the designer, Attilio Silvio Motti (A. MOTTI. INC.), as well as the Rome mintmark (R). Similar to the Giorgi-signed patterns of the early years of the republic, this issue, prominently signed by another Italian, is highly sought after as well. Exquisitely pristine and sharply struck, this crown pattern offers pale gray hues along with some hints of burnished amber in select areas along with captivating lustrous brilliance. The distinctive "R" for Rome is boldly placed near the reverse border at 5 o'clock, making this stunning RARITY an instantly iconic issue. Just two have been graded finer in the PCGS census. Estimate: $150,000 - $250,000. Provenance: From the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection. To view all items from the Liu Mung Wang (汪柳門) Collection, click here. INC.）
