Long described as the "Puyi Wedding" type, this one-year crown pattern actually displays the concept for a new national emblem employing a dragon and peacock. Sharply struck and exceedingly vibrant, this RARITY does display some scattered slight hairlines in the fields, accounting for the designation. Nevertheless, a splendid rendition of the type, with the reverse essentially being a holdover from the earlier Yuan Shih-kai series. Estimate: $30,000 - $45,000.
