Deeply Toned "Peaceful Unification" Dollar CHINA. Dollar, ND (1924). Tientsin Mint. PCGS MS-63. L&M-865; K-683; KM-Unlisted; WS-0107; Chang-CH190. Tuan Chi-jui type commemorating the "Peaceful Unification" of China. Always a popular type on account of its single year nature and crisp design, this specimen displays an exacting portrait of Tuan Chi-jui, with seemingly every facet of his countenance displayed in intricate splendor. The obverse characters offer a lively, dynamic aspect to their incising, while the two on the reverse take the opposite approach, offering a more plodding, undulating nature owing to their seal script design. Deeply toned and wondrously dazzling, this Choice specimen is no doubt a premium-quality piece compared to others assessed similarly. Estimate: $50,000 - $70,000.
