China Beijing Silk - Carpet - 245 cm - 245 cm

We present an elegant Pekin pure silk rug from China, entirely handmade, a refined piece of high artisanal quality. Manufactured in China between 1950 and 1960, this rug stands out for its silk-on-silk workmanship, a traditional technique that brings elegance, delicacy, and a superior artisanal finish. Its floral design is typical of Pekin rugs, with balanced ornamental compositions and floral motifs distributed harmoniously over a circular field, creating a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic. The rug features a fine, lightweight construction, characteristic of high-quality silk pieces, with a flexible drape and a soft touch that enhances its decorative and exclusive appearance. It is in very good condition for its age, correctly preserving both the silk and the overall structure. It shows normal wear in line with the passage of time and the age of the piece.
