Chick Corea

Both Corea and the Brecker Brothers were known for their boundless technical mastery of their instruments (piano/synthesizer for Corea; saxophone and trumpet for the Breckers). Their compositions are notorious for their complexity: they make frequent use of irregular time signatures (such as 5/4 or 7/8), lightning-fast unison lines (where multiple instruments play the exact same intricate melody simultaneously), and sudden tempo changes.
