CHAOS INSIDE 50X60cm Acrylics on panel 2026 In this painting I wanted to impress the dense materiality of acrylic on the panel to give vent to what words often fail to contain. This face is me, or rather, it is the reflection of that moment when the external world fades and I find myself reckoning with my inner universe. The lowered, chiselled face in the material tells of contemplation, the tiredness of a held-back emotion, and the need to look inside oneself, even when it hurts. What happens in the upper part of the panel is the exact portrait of what I feel: a chaotic, dense tangle. The shades of purple, the dense whites, and the deep blacks blend and clash like the thoughts that crowd my mind, an unstoppable flow that sometimes seems intent on overpowering me. Those black marks that cut and scratch the composition are my fragile boundaries, the tensions and connections between my fragilities and the search for an impossible yet necessary balance. This painting is my refuge and my confession: a way to touch the chaos inside me and transform it into a form I can finally embrace. The painting is made with acrylics on panel. I created a textured background with water-based paint, then I painted the subject with acrylics and subsequently used a glossy transparent protective varnish. My artistic journey has always placed the female figure at the center, a subject that over time has evolved, transforming from a traditional figurative representation into a decidedly more intimate and conceptual exploration. Today my production focuses on faceless women. In place of facial features, the faces welcome evocative landscapes that fuse the human element with nature, projecting the viewer into a decidedly surreal scenario. The figure thus becomes a doorway to inner worlds, where personal identity dissolves to make space for a universal, timeless realm. From a technical point of view, the support I use is a wooden panel. On this solid, living surface I first create a base collage, by overlapping pieces of newspaper glued with white water-based paint: layering textures and visual suggestions. Subsequently, I intervene with acrylic painting. This layered process allows me to achieve a strongly material result, where the depth of the background dialogues with the color, giving the finished work a unique tactile and visual depth.
