Chest of drawers - Cast brass

Italian Antique Walnut Chest of Drawers with Lion-Mask Bronze Handles, 1900s The chest features four graduated drawers, each framed by raised mouldings and fitted with original-looking ornate cast-bronze drop handles and escutcheons. The handles are particularly decorative, incorporating lion-mask motifs, scrolling foliage and foliate ornament, characteristic of the historicist taste of the period. The warm honey-brown patina and polished surface highlight the beautiful natural variations of the walnut. It is a very refined and of excellent construction with high level of craftsmanship that gives the piece of furniture a noble and affected appearance. Very great overall condition consistent with age and use; minor surface wear with splendid patina. Presented of moth holes, mainly on the back and left feet(seen on photos), preferred to be treated.
