On one side we have a wonderful collector’s chess box/coffee table made of quality wood (in marquetry), handmade, made in Sorrento, Italy with marquetry inlays by the brand GIGLIO ASLA, one of the world’s highest-quality manufacturers with a 70-year tradition. They are preferred suppliers of the English house Official Staunton whose motto is: “World’s Finest Chess Sets.” Small photocopies of the Warranty Certificate are also provided, confirming that we are dealing with an authentic Italian marquetry box. The lot also includes the box key. The box is made of root wood and the chessboard squares are square veneered inlays in Walnut and Maple, 3.5 cm per side. This box has small wooden legs that raise it and give it an even more classic touch. 2. On the other hand we have a set of 32 wooden pieces, which harmonize perfectly with the colors of the board.
