Chartogne-Taillet is today one of the most sought-after grower Champagne estates among knowledgeable buyers. Based in Merfy, Alexandre Chartogne has developed a precise parcel-driven approach, where each cuvée reflects a specific soil, exposition and élevage. Production remains limited, particularly for these single-vineyard bottlings, which represent the most focused expression of the domaine’s work. Awarded 3 stars by La Revue du Vin de France, the estate stands among the leading references of grower Champagne. This lot brings together three complementary single-vineyard cuvées, offering a clear insight into the diversity of Chartogne-Taillet’s terroirs: Les Couarres A blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from clay-rich soils with higher natural humidity. The élevage is carefully managed with regular topping-up to preserve balance, resulting in a wine defined by texture and controlled freshness. Saint-Thierry Chardonnay-dominant with Meunier, sourced from chalky slopes south of Reims. The élevage is adapted to the profile of the wine, allowing the limestone structure and natural salinity of the terroir to fully express themselves. Orizeaux Orizeaux is an iconic single-vineyard cuvée from Chartogne-Taillet, made from Pinot Noir grown in Merfy on sandy and clay soils. A deep and structured Champagne, combining generosity, freshness and a distinctive saline character, expressing the terroir of Saint-Thierry with great precision.
