Document signed by Jean Honoré SAUNESTRE DE CLISSON, Seneschal of the Pays d’Onix (AUNIS), Commander of the Nobility of the region - Certificate for Sir Benjamin de Malière, Knight and Lord of Le Passage and Nontron, who is serving this year under our command in the Auxiliary Force of this province (Aunis) - Seal bearing his coat of arms - 1 page (17 x 23) + NAVY AT ROCHEFORT (17). Certification of the commission as NAVY GUARD granted by His Majesty to Sieur Duvigneau on July 12, 1698: “...Duvigneau was placed on the list of Gentlemen designated to serve as Naval Guards in the Department of ROCHEFORT…” Collated with the original, at ROCHEFORT on January 29, 1727. 1 folio page.
