Centrepiece (3) - Porcelain - Three-piece table centerpiece, putti

3-Piece Porcelain Garniture (Garniture de Cheminée) in Sèvres Style – Angels / Putti – France/Europe – 20th Century With exceptional refinement this impressive three-piece porcelain fireplace garniture offers a splendid tribute to classical French court ceramics. The set consists of a generous central jardinière/bowl flanked by two accompanying, gracefully formed vases with handles. The whole is executed in the renowned Sèvres style and forms a masterful focal point for a mantelpiece, sideboard, or console table. The porcelain is finished in a stylish Celestial blue glaze (Bleu Céleste), enriched with lush gilded accents and rocailles that accentuate the dynamic shapes. On the front of the vases and on the central bowl there are oval-bordered reserves with exquisitely painted playful angels (putti) on a soft cloud-ground. The putti are adorned with rose and floral garlands and smoothly draped pink draperies. The central bowl features a characteristic wavy rim and robust, richly gilded handles with acanthus leaf details. The two flanking vases stand out with their openwork ears and elegantly worked bases. At the bottom there is the blue underglaze stamp with the famous crossed L monogram with the letter 'S' (Sèvres style). The garniture is in excellent condition. The glaze and color intensity of the paintings are beautiful. There are no restorations, cracks, or chips. The height of the bowl/plate is 15.5 cm, with a width of 38 cm and depth of 23 cm. The bowl also weighs 2170 grams. The vases (per piece) have a height of 35 cm, width of 21 cm, and depth of 14 cm. Each weighs 1755 grams. Colors may differ slightly from the photos. The set is securely and well packaged and shipped.
