Ceiling lamp - Murano glass

Elegant vintage ceiling light fixture in authentic Murano glass, dating roughly from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. The diffuser is made of opal glass in a delicate, very light blue shade. The most characteristic element is the heat-applied blue glass cord, which runs across the surface and is hand-shaped to form an original decorative bow. A detail that makes the piece particularly recognizable and testifies to the artisanal craftsmanship typical of Murano production of the era. A particular example of Italian vintage lighting, characterized by the contrast between the blue opal glass and the applied blue cord. Suitable both as a furnishing element and for a collection dedicated to Murano artistic glass and Italian design of the mid-to-late twentieth century. The ceiling light still retains the original label: "MURANO ORIGINAL GUARANTEED" The structure and the fixing system are made of brass. Dimensions: • diameter: about 28.5 cm • height of the glass dome: about 10 cm Conditions: The glass is intact and in excellent condition, with no breaks or chips. The brass mounting retains its patina and shows oxidation and normal signs of aging compatible with the object's age.
